Rego Park, got it's name from the word Real and Good, was named by the developers of the are Rego Construction. You can find out more information on the area statistics at the Rego Park branch of the Public Library. It is a very heterogeneous population of middle class individuals. The Rego Park Crescents, is a community of houses with a pleasant mix of contemporary and tudor style houses located along 5 crescent shaped streets. There is bus, and subway service as well as major hiways.
There are several churches, synagogues, and even an Indian temple. Additionally Rego Park is home to several major department stores including Sears, Marshalls, and The Wiz. It is bounded by Forest Hills on the east side, and Flushing Meadow Park on the northeast.
